Students in our Life Skills Class have been busy in the greenhouse planting vegetables and flowers for our community gardens. Students care for the plants and when they are ready to be transplanted, students in the Advanced Placement Biology class step up and work in the gardens digging, mulching and harvesting. This is a great project between two unique groups of students at our school. The hard work pays off when our communities have access to healthy, fresh food grown within our school community. This is a great example of urban farming at its best!
