The Colts varsity football looks to continue their dominance in 2020 even after losing some key players, but this year's seniors are ready to ball out. Diante Hammond, Jamir Reynolds-Vasquez, and Josh Altagracia are three seniors that plan on carrying the torch passed on by last year's seniors in hopes for another playoff berth. “It’s gonna be a challenge but we’re ready for it”, Diante said as he prepares for his role as Cedar Cliff’s star receiver. This group of receivers combined with senior QB Gannon McMeans are ready to air it out. A big change from last year's ground assault.
Reynolds-Vasquez stated,” I am prepared to do whatever is asked of me, knowing I have big shoes to fill.” Jamir talks about the loss of rushing record holder Jahiem Morris and the need to still run the ball.
“The key to winning is our team's ability to work together”, Altagracia said and the chemistry needed to be successful. This year's team has it’s work cut out for them already with the challenges of playing during a pandemic but they seem focused to do just that. No one who puts the Colts uniform this year thinks they have rebuilt a team, they know they reloaded with talent.
