This 2019 season, the Mineola High School Marching Band has impressed us yet again with an unbeatable streak. They won first place in all of their competitions this year, and their season culminated with their well-deserved First Place in the final competition in the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY, making it two years in a row. They won first place in the 2018 season, as well, securing their place in marching band history. Since 1972 only four other bands have won the final prize twice in a row. Senior member of the trumpet section Jason Price stated,“It’s an unforgettable experience.” They earned a final score of 88.700, according to the NYS Field Band Conference website.
