On May 20th, the Environmental Club sponsored a clean up event after school. Students were able to help clean up the area around the school to keep our community litter free. Things like plastic bottles, paper, and glass bottles were collected and disposed of. According to Ms. Kennedy, adviser of the club, "In total, almost 80 pounds were collected."

This clean up was good for the environment and the community. Knowing that we did something good for our community gave us a sense of fulfillment. Thinking about the service project, 9th grader Paola Vicini commented, “We all felt like we were doing something good. It took less than a hour and the neighborhood looks better.”
