Dance, dance, and more dance. On Tuesday, May 16th, performers from Ms. Oliveri's Dance classes put on a dazzling show hosted by Sarah Carbain and Jack Gorman. Each class shared the stage in a remix of the song “Counting Stars” and later on, “Sweet Child of Mine.” In addition, one person from each group choreographed a dance of her/his own which was featured as well. So students had the chance to both dance and make up dances. Though a few, according to Jack, facetiously, "extend to the Macarena" for some. With a combo of lyrical and jazz styles taught by Ms. Oliveri, these dancers put on a show to remember and it was a nice send off for the seniors as they approach graduation. According to Ms. Fahey, the event drew the "biggest crowd for this event ever."
Dance is a Phys Ed elective and offers the opportunity for students who are interested in the art of dance to become more proficient and to have some fun. See your guidance counselor if you’re interested in this for next year.
