The hit game Wordle has been around since June of 2021, but it only started to gain popularity in the later months of the year. The game Wordle is set up in a format of 5 rows and 6 columns where players are allowed 6 guesses at a 5 letter word that changes every day. If you guess a letter wrong, it will turn dark gray; if you guess the letter right and in the right spot, it will turn green. If you have the right letter but the wrong spot, the box will turn yellow. On January 31 of 2021, the New York Times announced that they had bought the game and added it to their list of the other 6 games they own.
