Betty White, American actress and comedian, died on December 31, 2021 in Los Angeles after having a stroke six days before. She is most recognizable for her role in The Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
In her lifetime, Betty White was able to break many boundaries in the entertainment industry, such as being the first female to produce a sitcom and having full creative control in front and behind the camera in a time where it was not common. Beyond her acting career, she was a producer, writer, and singer.
She was also an animal activist and was on the board of directors of the Los Angeles Zoo since 1974, helping to raise millions of dollars for them. She has used her money to fundraise for animal related charities and has been known to adopt animals when they needed a home. Although Betty White has passed, she will be remembered by all and will continue to live on through her legacy.
