NEWS INTRO
--------------------------
In local news today, the PIAA had a meeting yesterday and voted to set dates for the fall sports championships. Other news from the meeting, which is probably the biggest, PIAA said that they aren't limiting the right of local school boards to determine how many spectators may attend games. The Pa. General Assembly on Sept. 2 passed House Bill 2787, which guaranteed local school boards the go ahead to set spectator limits despite what Gov. Tom Wolf had said. The bill was then later vetoed by Wolf who called it "completely unnecessary".
