It has been nearly a month since the U.S. went into quarantine. During that time, many milestones have come and gone. However, being isolated doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate special occasions like your birthday
Last year, you may have celebrated with a big party surrounded by your friends and families. Now this year with the quarantine, there are guidelines. These include being six feet apart from people, having no more than ten people in a group, and wearing facemasks when going outside. This helps prevent the spread of COVID-19, but can make celebrating a bit more difficult.
A “Happy Birthday” is still obtainable under quarantine. Many people have organized birthday parades. You could organize a Zoom call for the birthday girl or boy! Gaming online is popular among teens. Setting up an online video game, play cards, or even bingo can contribute to the birthday celebration. You can send cards through the mail or drop off a gift at their front door. Some people have taken a unique approach for their quarinte with drive-by parties where the birthday honoree hands out cake to those driving by. Unique cakes have been a hit for some on their birthday. Topical cakes such as a cake shaped like toilet paper or the Covid 19 virus spore are just a few that will make a memorable occasion. Don't let the day pass by. If it’s your birthday, dress up, celebrate, have fun, and make a memory!
