Interested in learning more about the impacts of a later school start time from students who experienced it? Wednesday January 15th in the auditorium we will be hosting a small group from Radnor Township High School who implemented a later start time this school year. A few students, a parent, and an administrator from Radnor will be sharing from their perspective and addressing some questions related to a later start time. Come on out to learn more from those who lived it. ACT will be cancelled on Wednesday to allow for teachers, staff, and students to attend.

The epic blood drive is Friday, February 13th. The sign ups start Tuesday, January 21st and go through to Monday, February 10th. You can sign up during lunches. Be sure to come show your love for the local leeches the day before Valentine’s Day!

Friday, bowling won 7-0 vs McCaskey. Saturday, girls basketball won 55-29 vs Conrad Weiser. Top scorer for Ephrata was Gabbie Gerola Hill with 11 pts and three 3 point baskets.
The Ephrata Winter Track and Field team traveled to Kutztown University yesterday and had a tremendous showing against teams from Berks county, the Lehigh Valley, Maryland and Delaware. There were some great performances across the board. Place winners on Saturday were:

Boys 4x400 Relay of Sam Knowles, Noah Keller, Kyle Emrey and Tyler Shue 1st Place.
Boys 4x800 Relay of Devon Robertson, TJ Petrecca, Miles Campbell and Noah Keller 3rd Place.
Girls 4x800 Relay of Ashlynn Mazzochi, Lexi Roe, Madison Kimmel, and Mary Campbell 3rd Place.
The team will be on the road this week with meets at Albright College on Tuesday, and Penn State University on Saturday.

Unified Track and Field will be hosting a parent/athlete meeting January 16th from 5-6pm at the HS. Unified Track and Field is looking for athletes from varying ability levels. If you have additional questions please reach out to Coach Holmes from the intermediate school.
Interested in being part of the Ephrata Golf Team next year? Coach Souder will hold an informational meeting on Wednesday January 15th in the Cafeteria at 7:30 for anyone interesting in coming out for the golf team in the fall. If you are unable to attend the meeting please contact Coach Souder to make arrangements for a meeting.

The first meeting of the 2020 Prom Committee will be on Tuesday, January 14###sup/sup###, from 2:40-3:10 p.m. in room 209. The committee will continue to meet every Tuesday afternoon until May 15.

Attention all 11th graders: Today is the day that you can begin to sign up for a time slot for your individual transition meeting with your counselor. These meetings begin on January 30th and signup information can be found on the EHS Counseling Department website. Sign up for a slot as soon as possible, and be sure to pick a date and time that works best with your schedule. If you have a study hall, you will definitely want to choose that period. Heck, why not do it right now- pull out your laptop and pick a date and time.
