In 1966, a naturopathic doctor named Peter D'Adamo invented the Blood Type Diet. He published a book on how people can live healthier and happier lives by eating foods based on Blood Type. This book lists each Blood Type and the certain foods you should avoid and the certain foods you should consume more.
Blood Type O: People with Blood Type O should consume high-protein foods and eat a lot of meat, vegetables, fish, and fruit. They should limit their consumption of grains, beans, and legumes. The best foods to eat if they want to lose weight are seafood, kelp, red meat, broccoli, spinach and olive oil. The foods they should avoid if they want to lose weight are wheat, corn, and dairy.
Blood Type A: People with Blood Type A should consume fruit, vegetables, tofu, seafood, turkey, and whole grain meat. People with this Blood Type should avoid meat. The best foods to eat for weight loss is seafood, vegetables, pineapple, olive oil, and soy. People with this Blood Type should avoid dairy, wheat, corn, and kidney beans if they want to lose weight.
Blood Type B: People with Blood Type B should consume a various diet including meat, fruit, dairy, seafood, and grains. If a person with Blood Type B would like to lose weight the best foods to consume are green vegetables, kelp, liver, and licorice tea. The foods to avoid are chicken, corn, peanuts, and wheat.
Blood Type AB: People with this Blood Type should consume more dairy, tofu, lamb, fish, grains, fruits and vegetables. For weight loss the best foods to consume are tofu, seafood, green vegetables, and kelp. The foods that should be avoided are chicken, corn, buckwheat, and kidney beans.
