Best friend,
I'm gonna start this off by saying thank you. Thank you for being there for me when I needed support, helping me through anything a person could go through, and being my shoulder to cry on. Thank you for laughing with me, even if it's at an inappropriate time, or when nothing's even funny in the first place. Thank you for listening to my rants about things that get on my nerves, even when they're petty, and won't matter in two days time. Thank you for all the memories and times we've spent together. You're my other half when it comes down to it. You're the person who I'd turn to no matter what is going on. You're the one I can trust with my entire life, and I hope you can say the same about me. I know we're in high-school, and the chances of us staying as close as we are right now aren't likely. Every time we make plans, it gives me something to look forward to all week. I can never wait for those plans to come because all of my best memories involve you. That's probably why all of our conversations begin with things like, "Do you remember that one time..." etc. Just know that if we ever grow apart, my heart will always miss you dearly. You're my person, and someone who I never thought I'd have to let go of, but we're approaching college age. Different colleges will meet our different needs, and we're likely to be separated. Maybe not, maybe we won't be like the common statistic. But if so, just know that it will always be okay for you to come to me whenever you need something, even if it's in ten years time. Even if the day comes where we no longer talk, I'd love to still be the person who can turn to. I hope you'd say the same thing for me.
Sincerely,
Your forever friend.
