In today’s news, the world gets ready as an adaption of Mr. Roger’s life comes to film this week starring Tom Hanks. The movie will chronicle the lovable star’s life in Pittsburgh, and focus a lot on the theme of community and how his daily life played into his show, Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood.
On this day in history in 1877, Thomas Edison announced his new invention, the phonograph. The little invention miraculously recorded, and played back audio for the listener. This invention would help guide America to a music revolution, where everyone could enjoy listening to bopping tunes right there in their home.
