Conestoga Valley High School is hosting their Annual College Night NOVEMBER 4th from 6 to 8 PM. There will be over 200 colleges, trade and technical schools represented, as well as seminars on How to Choose a College and Financial Aid.

Reminder for all students and staff: Picture retake day is Tuesday, October 29th . If you are new to the District or missed the first picture day please plan on having your picture taken tomorrow. Life touch will be set up in room 116 and ready for students or staff that need pictures taken by 7 am. You may stop by before school, during homeroom, first or second period. Please plan on having your picture taken by 9:30 . If you are having your pictures retaken, please remember to bring along your previous packet to return to Life Touch.

In today’s news, the wildfires plaguing Northern California have yet to cease, and it seems now that the millions of citizens hoping to get power back in the region may need to wait even longer. Also, 200,000 and counting are being readily evacuated from mostly Sonoma County.
On this day in history in 1965, St. Louis’s Gateway Arch is completed in St. Louis, Missouri. Designed by Finnish architect Eero Saarinen, the 635 foot structure was built to commemorate the Louisiana Purchase made by Thomas Jefferson in 1803

Friday, the Mounts football team posted a win against Octorara. This marks the first winning season since 2003. Way to go Mounts!
Saturday, the Lady Mounts volleyball team lost to Waynesboro 3 games to 1. Also on Saturday, your lady Mounts soccer team played vs Central Dauphin in the quarter finals of the District 3 tournament. After 1 goal from each team early in the match, the score held at 1-1 through both overtimes and led to penalty kicks to decide a winner. Joscelyn Umana came up big in goal stopping 2 kicks and sealing the victory. The girls will play in the semi finals on Tuesday at Cumberland Valley.
