Seniors:  today is the day -Ephrata High School is excited to host our first College Application Day today in the High School Media Center from 9am-2pm.  This is a great opportunity for you to complete applications to any colleges with the assistance of high school counselors and admission representatives from 8 local colleges and universities.  All 8 schools are offering FREE applications on that day as well.  YES>> FREE college applications!!!   Stop up at your convenience to complete applications throughout the day.

Conestoga Valley High School is hosting their Annual College Night NOVEMBER 4th from 6 to 8 PM.  There will be over 200 colleges, trade and technical schools represented, as well as seminars on How to Choose a College and Financial Aid.

Chess Club will begin meeting this week in room 107 after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  If you have any interest in chess, whether to simply learn the fundamentals or maybe even compete on the chess team, please stop by and learn more about the club and team here at Ephrata.

In today’s news, former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has been criticized for the past few days as it was discovered he was using a fake Twitter account, often times tweeting in support of Romney himself. Romney’s only words on the matter were, “C’est moi”, or “it’s me” in French.

On this day in history in 1962, President John F. Kennedy announces that 196 spy planes discovered Soviet missiles on the island of Cuba. Not only that, they were in major striking distance of many major American cities. This speech, and the ensuing incident would propel the anxiety inducing Cold War in years to come

Ephrata Mini-THON would like to invite you and your family to “Pasta with a Purpose”!

On October 25th from 6-8pm, we will be hosting a spaghetti dinner in the high school cafeteria.
