This announcement is for all freshmen: Individual Freshmen Transition meetings with your counselor begin on Friday, October 18th. Meetings are 10 minutes each and will focus on; a discussion about 1st semester classes, a reflection on your transition to EHS, as well as a conversation about possible future career directions. Please go the counseling website to sign up for a time slot for your meeting. You can also get there by using the link for the signup page found on your Schoology newsfeed as well. Be sure to select a date and time that works best for your schedule – if you have a study hall, that would be the ideal period for this meeting. Now is the perfect time to open your laptop and sign up for a time slot for your meeting – don’t delay!

Ag Trivia for the Day: Did you know that agriculture accounts for 12% of the total workforce in Lancaster? So that means that more than 1 out of 8 people rely on farming for jobs even if they don’t work on a farm. What’s more is that roughly half of our tourism revenues in the county are related to agriculture. Three of the top six reasons people cite for visiting the area are the Amish, food and drink, and the area’s history.

In today’s news, the FBI has released intel that has uncovered the identity of the deadliest serial killer in U.S History, Samuel Little. He was responsible for the deaths of possibly 90 or more people, 50 of which who have been verified by the FBI as victims of Little. He’s been behind bars since 2012, and will remain there for multiple life sentences.
On this day in history in 1974, Oskar Schindler, saviour of nearly 1,200 Jewish people during the Holocaust passed away. His efforts have been remembered through the arguable masterpiece of a film, Schindler’s List, and a multitude of literary pieces, as well as the countless lives he saved during WWII.

Attention all Junior and Senior girls, there will be meetings held next week for all those who are interested in playing in this years powderpuff game, which will be held on November 6th. Sign ups are first come, first serve. Meetings will be held right after school in Mr. Marzock’s room, room 137 until 3:00. today there will be a meeting for any Senior girls interested in playing.
