In today’s news, Jeff Bezos has announced a new climate change plan for Amazon. He claims the company will be running on 100% renewable energy by 2030, and be carbon-neutral by 2040. This “Climate Pledge” as its being called is seemingly in response to the thousands of Amazon workers that have been calling for Amazon to reveal its real carbon footprint, which, according to Amazon),is cresting at about 44 million metric tons.
On this day in history, explorer Ferdinand Magellan left for his now legendary voyage around the globe, which took his crew nearly two years to complete. Unfortunately, Magellan died on the voyage during a scuffle with native Phillapinos, however Magellan still became the first European to cross the Pacific Ocean, and the rest of his crew became the first Europeans to circumnavigate the entire planet.

From the Principals: Please be reminded that you should only have one ear bud in when using them. This is so others are still able to communicate with you. And yes this applies to the lunch lines. We have had too many issues lately with cafeteria staff trying to communicate with students who can’t hear them because they have both ear buds in.

If you are interested in taking the PSAT on Wednesday October 16, please come to the Guidance Office to sign up and get your student guide. Sign ups will close at the end of day TODAY!
