In today’s news, India has announced and immediate and widespread ban of e-cigarettes. Bans across the world are taking place as more and more governments strive to protect its youth from nicotine addiction. Reports are popping up around the globe of suspected vaping related lung health problems in teenagers who rampantly consume the addictive substance.
On this day in history, in 1959, Nikita Kruschev, former leader of the former Soviet Union, conducted his now famous visit to Los Angeles during an extended visit and summit with President Dwight Eisenhower. After a heated debate with the President of Twentieth Century Fox (death threats were said), Krushchev exploded in anger on learning he was banned from entering Disneyland. Kruschev is reported to have exclaimed in a burst of rage, “And I say, I would very much like to go and see Disneyland. But then, we cannot guarantee your security, they say. What is it? Is there an epidemic of cholera there or something? Or have gangsters taken hold of the place that can destroy me?” Kruschev left Los Angeles the following morning.

From the Principals: Please be reminded that you should only have one ear bud in when using them. This is so others are still able to communicate with you. And yes this applies to the lunch lines. We have had too many issues lately with cafeteria staff trying to communicate with students who can’t hear them because they have both ear buds in.
