Ryan Brown ‘19, a pitcher for the Saxons, has been drafted by the New York Yankees in the 26th round of the MLB Draft. Brown was slated to be a walk-on for Oregon State University before he became the first Oregon high school player to be drafted in this year’s draft.

In his last season with the Saxons, Brown held a 4-0 record in conference, pitching 23 ⅔ innings, striking out 37 and keeping his ERA at 1.77, while leading his team to the Mountain Valley Conference title.

Also delivering at the plate, Brown finished with a .346 batting average and racked up 12 RBIs.
