2016 Presidential Election

This year’s Presidential Election has been crazy as most polls had Hillary Clinton beating out Donald Trump, but on Election night things switched and Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton with almost 70 more Electoral Votes. Even though Donald Trump won, Hillary did win the popular vote. Now with President-Elect Trump many different protests have erupted in cities across the United States with most people chanting “He’s not my President!” There has been a slight increase in discrimination against Muslims, Hispanics, and other minorities throughout the country but Trump has come out in an interview with 60 minutes saying to the people doing this to “Stop It.” Hillary Clinton has come out and has accepted the results and given her feedback on the results. In order to have a more peaceful transition President Obama invited President-Elect Trump to the White House to talk about the things that come with being the President and to congratulate him. Some people believe that in his first few days of being elected President he has made some bad decisions in picking people to help him in his presidency. The country is divided on whether they should support him or go against him. These next four years we will see if he goes through with all of his promises or if he decides to stick with how things are now.
