Last week, Mr. Dave Heibner was announced as the new Columbus High principal.
Mr. Heibner, who has been at Columbus High for 12 years, says he is looking forward to being the next Principal of Columbus High School.
"I am excited to serve the students and staff of Columbus High in a different way" says Heibner. Hiebner is looking forward to the challenge that the future will bring. This job requires more time and energy than his previous job as the athletic director.
Despite his excitement. Mr. Heibner is going to miss a few things about being the athletic director such as being more involved in all the activities, his relationships with student athletes, and day to day interaction with coaches and trainers. He will still definitely stay involved, but in a different way.
Mr. Heibner wants to make Columbus High School a more fun environment. "It's important that students have positive relationships with their teachers and the staff members" says Heibner. He is always looking for ways to improve the environment at Columbus High. Congratulations to Mr. Heibner for achieving this position, and good luck with your future!
