This announcement is for any students who would like to learn more about the United States Naval Academy as a post-secondary college option. There will be a bus trip to visit the Academy, which is located in Annapolis Maryland on Saturday March 30th. The purpose of this trip is to give interested students and their parents an opportunity to see the Academy first hand, learn about the application/appointment process, and meet with local area high school graduates who are presently midshipmen at the Academy. If you have an interest in serving your country as an officer, this is a great way to attend college for free, as a degree from the Academy is estimated to be worth approximately $400,000 for the four year program.
Check out the information sheet on Schoology if you would like to learn more!

A summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report says President Donald Trump's campaign did not conspire with Russia during the 2016 election. The allegation clouded the first two years of Trump's presidency and his allies see the report's finding as a boost to his re-election chances. But Attorney General William Barr's summary is inconclusive as to whether Trump obstructed justice. Opposition Democrats are demanding full access to Mueller's report. Having repeatedly described the inquiry as a witch hunt, Trump said it was an "illegal takedown that failed".

A second cyclone within 48 hours has brought destructive winds and torrential rains to coastal regions of Australia. Cyclone Veronica lingered about 60 miles off the nation's north-west coast on Monday, officials said. Despite no longer being expected to make landfall, the category two system is moving slowly and has prompted warnings for locals to remain indoors. Cyclone Trevor, a category four, hit the Northern Territory on Saturday. Authorities say heavy rain and large waves whipped up by Cyclone Veronica threaten to cause widespread flooding in Western Australia.
