On Sat., March 2, the Columbus Guard and Percussion competed in this year’s annual HWAA (Heartland Winter Arts Association). This is a sponsored WGI competition at CHS. Two wind groups, two percussion groups and 13 guards performed. In the end, Columbus Percussion placed second, Columbus Guard placed fourth and the Columbus independent winds group called Tempest Winds placed second. Overall, every group who competed had a beautiful aura about them and performed with glee. Spectators were amazed at the divine sounds made by the percussion and wind groups. Everyone was in awe at the elegant and appealing form of the color guard groups. Congratulations to the Columbus Guard and Percussion who perform with such admirable vigor and happiness!
