Serial Killers
Serial killers are some of the most dangerous people in the world and can hide in plain sight. “ We serial killers are your sons, we are your husbands, we are everywhere. And there will be more of your children dead tomorrow.” to quote Ted Bundy, one of the most notorious serial killers of all time. If you are interested in finding out what goes on in a serial killer’s mind read on. If you dare.
Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Dennis Rader, John Wayne Gacy, just to name a few, are some of the most famous serial killers in the world. These killers don’t feel guilt for their actions, and cannot feel empathy towards other people's feelings. This is similar to a “sociopath”
Thankfully, Serial killers make up 1% of the population. While most people believe drugs and alcohol turn people into these cold blooded killers, only 70% of these psychopaths have a history of substance abuse. The vast majority of doctors believe there is no possible way to rehabilitate a serial killer. Most of them receive life in prison, of the death penalty.
Psychopaths are very selfish people. They cannot feel love, and only use people for what they want. They tend to live a very parasitic lifestyle which means that they expect other people to pay for their needs. Although these killers say they have planned something for the future, most psychopaths are totally unrealistic.
Most serial killers were sexually abused as kids. Others have experienced some sort traumatic event in their past, but they tend not to talk about it. Talking about a specific event tends to trigger them so they block it out as much as possible. Thus explains why it’s nearly impossible to talk through their problems in therapy.
Although these killers are indeed cold blooded, their thought process is, in fact, interesting. These people have impacted so many families for so many years. Some of them are still in prison, and some of them were murdered in prison because other inmates found out what they did. Although they did some pretty horrible things, they are still interesting people to learn about.
