This fair attracts approximately 100 different colleges, universities, and trade school representatives. This is a great opportunity for 11th graders to interact with and learn about different colleges. The itinerary includes; attending the college fair, having lunch in the Millersville dining hall, and taking a campus tour.

British actress Olivia Colman defied the odds to scoop an Oscar on a night when Green Book also sprang a surprise by winning the award for best film. Colman won best actress for her role in The Favourite and charmed viewers with a funny and tearful speech. Green Book won three trophies in total, including best picture, which had been expected to go to Netflix's Roma. Bohemian Rhapsody won the most awards in total with four, while Roma and Black Panther also won three each.
In other news,
Virgin Galactic has pushed its Unity rocket plane faster and higher than it's ever been. Chief pilot, Scotsman Dave Mackay, and co-pilot, American Mike Masucci, took the vehicle to almost 90km in altitude above California's Mojave Desert before gliding back down to Earth. The test flight edges Virgin that bit closer to its goal of introducing commercial passenger flights. More than 700 people are signed up for a trip on Unity to suborbital space. It's not clear when precisely this service will begin, but Virgin Group boss, Sir Richard Branson, believes it will be very soon.
on this day in 1870 Hiram Rhoades Revels, a Republican from Natchez, Mississippi, was sworn into the U.S. Senate, becoming the first African American ever to sit in Congress. During the Civil War, Revels, a college-educated minister, helped form African American army regiments for the Union cause, started a school for freed men, and served as a chaplain for the Union army.

ROCK LITITZ is hosting a STEAM Career Exploration Day on May 2nd from 9 AM to 1 PM.
This opportunity is a one-day experience for students in grades 11 and 12 who want to learn more about the live entertainment industry. Applications for this free career opportunity will be accepted until March 15, 2019 and successful applicants will be notified by April 5, 2019. Transportation and lunch will be provided.
