Tough teams overpower the Discoverers

The Discoverer boys have had a tough week with three games all resulting in hard loses.
To start, the boys took on the Crete Cardinals on Jan. 31. The final score was 55-50.
Scoring the most points for this game was junior, Cole Wilcox and sophomore, Garrett Esch, both with 14 points. Following them was junior, Landon Thompson with 13 points. Other scorers were senior, Kade Nelson, and freshmen Sam Nelson and Ean Luebbe.
Next, the Discoverers battled against the Gross Catholic Cougars at home. The final score was 52-39.
Senior, Kade Nelson and sophomore, Garrett Esch scored the most points with a total of eight. Behind them was freshman Sam Kwapnioski with seven points and junior, Landon Thompson with six points. Other contributors were freshmen, Blake Thompson and Ernest Hausmann and juniors, Cole Wilcox and Blake Edzards.
The last game to take place was against the Norris Titans. The final score of this game was super close with a final score of 67-65.
Scoring the most points for the Discoverers was sophomore, Garrett Esch and freshman, Ernest Hausmann both with 15 points. Trailing them was junior Blake Edzards with 12 points and senior Kade Nelson with 10 points. Other scorers of the game were freshmen, Ean Luebbe and Blake Thompson and junior, Landon Thompson.
The boys hit the road again Fri. Feb. 8 against the Blair Bears. Good luck and Go Big C!
