The National German Exam or AATG test had to be rescheduled.  It will be administered on Monday, January 28th  to students who registered.  Level 4 for students in German four and AP German will be during periods 1 and 2,   Level 3 will be during periods 3 and 4,   and Level 2 will be during periods 6 and 7.  Please bring your fully charged laptop and headphones with you to room 207.  Viel Glück!

Ephrata Mini-THON’s Valentines Dance is coming up February 9th. Although the dance this year is not being named Sadie’s, girls can still ask guys!

Remember anyone can come even if you have a date or not. So, bring a friend or a date to the Valentines Dance in support of childhood cancer! Ticket sales will be held in the cafeteria from February 4th to the 8th for $8 and $10 at the door.

In other news,

UK scientists have succeeded in cutting a 2 kilometer hole through the West Antarctic Ice Sheet to its base. It's the deepest anyone has gone in the region using a hot-water drill. The British Antarctic Survey pulled up sediment from the bottom of the hole and deployed a series of instruments. The researchers hope the project's data can help them work out how quickly the White Continent might lose its ice in a warming world.

By the end of 2005, Pixar had become a giant in the world of movie animation, and on this day in 2006, the company that brought the world the blockbuster hits Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo and The Incredibles  was sold to the Walt Disney Company, their longtime distributor, for a staggering $7.4 billion.
