Escape Room Movie Review

The captivating psychological horror thriller that arrived in theaters on Jan. 4th, 2019 will have everyone at the edge of their seats for the remainder of the movie.

Escape Room starts out with a girl name Zoey who is a former college student, portrayed by Taylor Russell. On Thanksgiving, six people were chosen to have the chance to win $10,000, the only thing they needed to do was escape from different challenging rooms.

The six people decided to attend the escape rooms for a chance to win the money. However, what they did not know was that they would be in extreme danger. Once they got into the building they took their phones (GET OUT! LEAVE THIS IS SKETCHY) and they were directed to a waiting room.

At the end of the movie, we find out that the people were chosen for a specific reason. The people all had one thing in common, they were all survivors from their own accidents.

In my opinion, I really enjoyed Escape room, the psychological horror thriller had me anxious and left me wanting to watch more. The characters are well developed and the scenes in the movie a really thought out. For example, in one of the scenes Zoey is in a hospital like scene where information about her past life is there in a file. One thing I disliked was that the ending was a huge cliffhanger. Altogether, I 10/10 recommend this movie if you like psychological horror thrillers.

I'm new to the newspaper team this year. I enjoy watching Netflix shows like The Vampire Diaries, How to Get Away with Murder, Riverdale, Beauty and the Beast, and One Tree Hill. I also enjoy going on vacations to tropical places, sleeping, and eating. My favorite candy bar is twix. You might find me sprinting or high jumping in track..
