Ephrata Mini-THON’s Valentines Dance is coming up February 9th. Although the dance this year is not being named Sadie’s, girls can still ask guys!
Remember anyone can come even if you have a date or not. So, bring a friend or a date to the Valentines Dance in support of childhood cancer! Ticket sales will be held in the cafeteria from February 4th to the 8th for $8 and $10 at the door.

The chess team won yesterday’s match against Lancaster Catholic 4-1. Zeke Jones won on board 1, Bryce Babyak won on board 2, Hunter Brendle won on board 4 & Noah Powlus dominated on board 5. The team travels to Lancaster Mennonite for their away match this afternoon.

yesterday in sports action, girls basketball won 37-28 vs CV, and the boys lost 55-63 at CV.

In the pool, the swim teams were in action against Elizabethtown. The girls were victorious winning 102-68, which puts them in sole possession of first place in Section 2. The boys team lost a close one 81-89. On the girls side, sophomores Kierra Parsons and Alyssa Fedorshak both won two individual events. Mary Campbell and Maddy Fritz picked up one individual win. The 200 medley relay team of Leah Weaver, Maddy Fritz, Anya Emmerling, and Alyssa Fedorshak, the 200 free relay team of Maddy Fritz, Faith Hershberger, Kierra Parsons, and Mary Campbell, and the 400 free relay team of Kierra Parsons, Anya Emmerling, Mary Campbell, and Alyssa Fedorshak were all victorious.
On the boys side, Thomas McGilland and Kyle Emmerling led the way with two individual victorious. Colby Simes and Sam Risser each picked up one individual win. The 200 freestyle relay team of Colby Simes, Payton Miller, Thomas McGillan, and Nathan Kimmel, and the 400 freestyle relay team of Colby Simes, Sam Risser, Thomas McGillan, and Kyle Emmerling were also victorious.

Spring Sports Physicals will be offered on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in the Ephrata High School Gym Starting at 5:30pm. All High School and Middle School Athletes in need of a physical examination prior to the Spring Sports Season should see Mrs. Cummings in the High School Athletic Office to sign-up or have a parent call her at (717)721-1478, extension 19021. You must sign-up for an available timeslot in order to see a doctor for a physical examination on February 6th. The cost for the physical examination is $5.00. The Physical Packet must be filled out and signed by both the Student and the Parent and you must bring this packet along to the physical examination. Physical Packets are available in the Athletic Office and on the District Website.
