It is that time of year again where people can enjoy the holidays by watching an iconic Christmas movie with their love ones. The movie “The Christmas Story” delivers that classic holiday flare all family and friends can love.
“The Christmas Story” is a comedy about a young boy named Ralphie Parker who all he wants for Christmas is a “Red Ryder air rifle”. He goes through the month of December by trying to dodge bullies with his best of friends and surviving school. He also endures living with his cussing loving father (this is rated PG), his adoring mother, and his picky brother. Ralphie enjoys using his imagination to distract himself of disappointments and just for fun. As he is trying to accomplish his goal of getting his rifle, Ralphie try's his persuasion skills and charm in order to achieve
As I was watching this film, I really enjoyed how funny this film was. It may have been released in the 80s, but it is and still is a good movie in present day. From the leg lamp, to triple dog daring each other, to making sure one drinks Ovaltine, this movie brings in fun for people of all ages. Even though they don’t beep out some specific words (movie is PG), it is still a good movie to watch with children.
In the end, I recommend this movie to anyone who does not know what to watch this holiday season. Grab a cup of hot coco, grab your favorite warm blanket, and sit down to enjoy the movie!
Merry Christmas!
