If so please be part of a group of students meeting Thursday a 2:45 in the cafeteria to help make Christmas cards for the residents of a local nursing home. All you need to bring is yourself and a caring heart. All materials will be supplied. So join us Thursday at 2:45 in the cafeteria to show some Christmas spirit to a group Ephrata senior citizens.

Tens of thousands of passengers at one of the UK's busiest airports are experiencing flight disruption after drones were seen over the airfield. Gatwick's runway remains closed after two of the devices were seen nearby. Flights are unable to take off or land and Gatwick said 110,000 passengers on 760 flights were due to use the airport on Thursday. Police were still hunting for the drone operator after another device was reported just before 7:00. A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "There is absolutely nothing to suggest that this is terrorism-related."

In other news,

Children as young as 14 are making thousands of dollars a week as part of a global hacking network built around the popular video game Fortnite. About 20 hackers told the BBC they were stealing the private gaming accounts of players and reselling them online. Fortnite is free to play but is estimated to have made more than $1billion through the sale of "skins", which change the look of a character, and other add-ons. This fuels a growing black market. Hackers can sell player accounts for as little as $25 or hundreds of dollars, depending on what they contain.

This week is Our Christmas Spirit Week.  Let’s end 2018 by showing our festive spirit for this wonderful time of the year.

Today is Mr. Marzock’s favorite Day Ugly Christmas Sweater Day

And tomorrow is the Night Before Christmas Day.  So wear your cozy pajamas.

The battle was fierce.  Money was raised.  The competition grew into a spectacular finish and here are our winners:

Drum roll please……

In 3rd place was Mrs. Yeo’s homeroom with well over  $235.00  

But then the unheard of happened….

A tie for first place between two juggernauts

Mrs. Rasmus and Mr. Delpiano both raised roughly $390.00 each, which is unthinkable!!!!!!

Therefore, we have not one but TWO deluxe donut parties that we are handing out tomorrow, Friday Dec 21st to Mr. Delpiano’s homeroom as well as Mrs. Rasmus’s homeroom AND one regular donut party to Mrs. Yeo’s homeroom.  So come ready to eat kids!!!!

Congrats to those homerooms for their hard work and dedication to the cause. 

That said, we should all feel extremely proud in what we accomplished here these past couple weeks.  Ephrata High School was able to raise over $4600 for local families this holiday season, which is the most we have raised in over 8 years if not longer.  Everyone should feel exceptionally proud this holiday season. Fortnite dancing all around!!!
