On the fine arts night, the turn out for the art show was way more than expected. Many friends and families walked around and enjoyed all the pieces that filled the library.
There was a table dedicated to “administrative picks”. This means staff like Mr. Woodside and Mr. Frey picked art pieces that they were fond of. These pieces are still displayed in the showcase in the library.
Senior, Emma Benck, gave her input on the art show. She told us “I think it was successful. I think it was well organized and well attended.”
2D art teacher, Mrs. Stodola, says “I think it was very successful. We had a lot of foot traffic, and a lot of people came through. They were all impressed with the display.”
Senior, Logan Schilling, says “I thought it was successful because my art was in it, therefore it was an automatic win.”
The five seniors in advanced art created their own displays that conveyed a theme of some sort. It was a bittersweet end to these students’ high school art career.
Overall, CHS has a very talented and dedicated student body, and the new art teachers, Mrs. Stodola and Mrs. Campbell, did a great job at organizing and setting up.
