On Thursday Dec. 6, the Columbus varsity wrestlers dualed the Hastings Tigers at home. The discoverers won 52-15 over Hastings. The discoverers only had four losses and ten wins.

The Discoverers also competed in a tournament at CCC over the weekend of Dec. 7 and 8. The wrestling team went 10-0 with 11 wrestlers competing in the tournament. Columbus High beat Lakeview 44-19. Scotus also fell to Columbus High 70-6, and Bishop Heelan Catholic fell to Columbus 59-6. We also took down David City 49-15. We won over Elkhorn South 63-6. The Discoverers also won over Gothenburg 77-0. Overland Park-Blue Valley West lost to Columbus as well with a score of 71-6. Columbus also won over Shelby-Rising City 81-0, Tekamah-Herman 84-0, and Twin River 81-0. Congrats on a successful weekend wrestlers!
