Person 1: It’s that time of year again to GO-NUTS for DONUTS!!!!
Person 2: That’s right. Student Council is running the annual Christmas Charity homeroom competition this year.
Person 1: The homeroom that raises the most money will get a deluxe donut party.
Person 2: DELUXE??? What’s that?
Peron 1: That is a donut party with all the fixings. Hot Chocolate, milk, OJ, fruit, bagels, Christmas cookies. You name it you got it! And all of that happens on Dec 21st the day you leave for break. So, what a great way to end the year before Christmas break than with a spread the likes of Buddy the Elf has NEVER seen!
Person 2: Does second place get anything?
Person 1: Yuppers! The homeroom that gets second place will get a regular donut party….. so just donuts…. Which is still pretty cool. And those donuts will also be there on Dec 21st before you leave for break.
Person 2: Does third place get anything?
Person1: The rumor is there homeroom gets high fives from Mr. Marzock on Dec 21st
Person 2: That prize sounds better than the rest.
Person 1: So don’t be a cotton headed ninny muggings and help out some local Ephrata families this holiday season.
Person 2: Every little bit counts.
Person 1: That is pretty sweet
Person 2: Sweeter than a candy cane.
Person 1: So talk to your homeroom teacher to see how you can spread Christmas cheer for all the world to hear, this holiday season!

Sinatra the husky, following the death of his owner, went on a 2,200 mile adventure after he is found in Tampa, Florida, far from his home in Brooklyn, New York. He was found via microchip, despite there being a wrong phone number tied to it. His owners' family was tracked down through social media and relatives brought him home. He was gone for a total of 18 months, and what occurred during that time to make Sinatra travel so far is still unknown.
In other news,
Global efforts to tackle climate change are way off track says the UN, as it details the first rise in CO2 emissions in four years. The emissions gap report says that economic growth is responsible for a rise in 2017 while national efforts to cut carbon have faltered. To meet the goals of the Paris climate pact, the study says it's crucial that global emissions peak by 2020. But the analysis says that this is now not likely even by 2030. The report comes days before a major UN climate conference starting in Poland from December 2-14.
On this day in 1582, William Shakespeare, 18, and Anne Hathaway, 26, paid a 40-pound bond for their marriage license in Stratford-upon-Avon.
