The sun peaking over the trees and shining in your room. The birds are singing, and flower buds are opening. Your eyes flutter open, and your stomach rumbles. You sit up, slide out of your soft, warm bed. Walking down the hall, you stumble down the steps into the kitchen. You look all around for any scrap of food but are unable to find anything. You’re about to give up when something appears in the corner of your eye. You see some bread and a luxurious container full of creamy peanut butter. Dashing for the silverware, you grab a butter knife, attack the container, and stab into the creamy brown goo. You slap the peanut butter onto the two slices of bread and take a bite. BOOM! You have yourself a delicious, nutritious breakfast.
National Peanut butter month is November, and is dedicated to all peanut butter lovers. Yes, there is a month dedicated to people that love peanut butter, just like me. But did you know that some peanut butters are not good for you? Some brands contain more sugar per serving than others, making an otherwise healthy choice unhealthy. Here are some healthier peanut butter brands for your enjoyment:
*Crazy Richard’s 100% Peanuts Creamy Peanut Butter
*Stonewall Kitchen Chunky Peanut Butter
*Once Again Unsweetened Crunchy Peanut Butter
*Smucker’s Natural Creamy Peanut Butter
For those peanut butter lovers out there, why not try spicing things up with your PB&J? Try making a PBB&J Sandwich (Peanut Butter, Banana, and Jelly Sandwich), or a peanut butter and fluff sandwich (made with marshmallow cream). Or why not put a little cinnamon in your peanut butter? Who knows, you might like the result! National Peanut Butter Lovers Month is about trying new things.
So what happened after you finish the peanut butter sandwich? Picture this:
Your face beams. You dash to your backpack like Sonic, the hedgehog. Picking your bag up, you lift it into the air as if Link has found a new shield. You run out the front door to your bus stop, ready to start your day with a smile.
