On Monday Nov. 5th, Conestoga Valley High School will be hosting their 45th Annual College Night from 6-8pm. There will be over 200 colleges, trade, nursing, technical and business schools represented. In addition to the schools, there will also be seminars on how to choose a college, and financial aid. This event is perfect for freshmen, sophomores and juniors as it’s never too early to start planning. Information booklets are available in the Counseling Office.
Be sure to tell your parents and add this event to your calendar…Nov. 5th, the CV College Fair. If you have any questions, see your counselor asap.

Staff at Google offices around the world are staging an unprecedented series of walkouts in protest at the company's treatment of women. The employees are demanding several key changes in how sexual misconduct allegations are dealt with at the firm, including a call to end forced arbitration - a move which would make it possible for victims to sue. Google chief executive Sundar Pichai has told staff he supports their right to take the action. "I understand the anger and disappointment that many of you feel," he said in an all-staff email.
The world has seriously underestimated the amount of heat soaked up by our oceans over the past 25 years, researchers say. Their study suggests that the seas have absorbed 60% more than previously thought. They say it means the Earth is more sensitive to fossil fuel emissions than estimated. This could make it much more difficult to to keep global warming within safe levels this century.
On this day in 1348, The Black Death, responsible for many deaths across Europe, reached London.

The teacher 1st place winner in the Single category is Mr. Marzock dressed as Flash. The student 1st place winner in the Single category is Caroline Weber as Coraline Jones from the movie Coraline.
The 1st place winners of the Duo category are Sydney Reiff and Kaly Rountree dressed as Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy.
