Any student interested in competing in a STEM competition? Mrs. Brenner is looking for a team of 5 students to participate in the Governor’s STEM Challenge. This year’s theme for the competition is “Improving Pennsylvania Through STEM.” She is looking for creative individuals to come up with a problem in Pennsylvania and create something to solve it. Funds are provided to make a proto-type. We would meet afterschool every other week. See Mrs. Brenner in Room 101 for any questions or if you are interested.

CALLING ALL 10th GRADE LEADERS! We will be selecting an EHS Sophomore to attend this year's HOBY Leadership Conference. The conference will be held at Shippensburg University from May 16th - May 19th, 2019. This is an AMAZING opportunity to develop leadership skills and grow to be able to positively impact our world. In order to be considered as the selected nominee, please submit a 1-page essay to the Counseling Office by 10/25/18 on the following topic:

Theresa May has said the UK's transition out of the EU could be extended by "a matter of months" to ensure no hard border in Northern Ireland. The prime minister said this was a new idea that had emerged in negotiations and was not expected to be used. The UK leaves the EU in March, and the current plan is for a transition period to finish at the end of 2020. Some Tory MPs and Brexit campaigners are angry at the idea of the UK being tied to EU rules for longer

Dress Code for the CTC Field Trips next week.

This is a reminder to all 9th grade students- individual Freshmen Transition Meetings begin this morning; Thursday, October 18th. During this meeting you and your counselor will have an opportunity to discuss the successes and challenges related to your transition to EHS, grades, activities and career ideas. This conversation will help you build a supportive relationship with your counselor as you reach for your future goals at EHS and beyond. Meetings are 10 minutes each, and you will receive a pass on the morning of you meeting. Don’t forget to touch base with your teacher on the day of your meeting in order to minimize class disruptions.
