The Discoverer varsity volleyball team had a great tournament of vigorous play on Sept.29th. There were three different games throughout the day, one was at 10 a.m., then another at 1 p.m., and lastly, one at 2:30 p.m.

This tournament was a tough one, according to coach Otten. The girls began by playing against Lakeview at 10 a.m. Coach Otten states, ¨We beat Lakeview right away which was a good win to put us in the winners bracket.¨

The girls fought hard once again at 1 p.m. against the Hastings Tigers, however, this time they had a tough loss. The girls played three sets against them, and this was a very close match in which they lost 26-24. Coach Otten said, ¨It was a fun and intense match for anyone in attendance.¨

At the end of the tournament against Kearney Catholic, they played again at 12:30 p.m. and took fourth place in the tournament.

Coach Otten said, ¨Our goal is always to play our hardest, compete, and try to get another win for our team.¨
