On Tuesday Sept. 18, the discoverers fought hard against the Grand Island Islanders, but lost in three sets. The first set was 25-22, the second was 25-21, and the third was 25-18. This was the last home game, and it was also senior night. It was very bittersweet, but there is still a home tournament Saturday Sept. 29.
The girls also played in Seward on Thursday Sept. 20. They lost in four sets (25:22, 21:25, 20:25, 20:25) to the Seward Bluejays. The team fought hard but fell short after long and tiring rallies.
The discoverer volleyball team was at Omaha South on Thursday Sept. 27. They played their best yet, beating the Packers in three sets. Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity all won their games.
The next game is a home tournament at Columbus High on Saturday Sept. 29 at 10 a.m.
