Thinking about a career in the healthcare field? On Friday October 12th, we will be going to HACC's Lancaster Campus for Health Careers Exploration Day. This is a great opportunity to learn about all the career opportunities available in the healthcare field. Come to the Counseling Office to pick up more information and permission slip. Permission slips are due back Thursday September 27th.

US President Donald Trump has said he does not "have an attorney general" in his fiercest attack yet on Jeff Sessions. In an interview with Hill.TV, Mr Trump renewed criticism of Mr Sessions' decision to step aside from the inquiry into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election. He also said he was unhappy with Mr Sessions' response to immigration. The attorney general is yet to respond to Mr Trump's comments.
Theresa May has urged EU leaders to focus their minds on getting a Brexit deal in the next two months, saying negotiations will not be extended. At a dinner in Salzburg, she told her 27 counterparts her priorities were maintaining economic ties and ensuring promises to Northern Ireland were kept. There are suggestions the UK will put forward new ideas for regulatory checks to address the current Irish deadlock.
On this day in 1973, in a highly publicized “Battle of the Gender: tennis match, top women’s player Billie Jean King, 29, beat Bobby Riggs, 55, a former No. 1 ranked men’s player. Riggs had boasted that women were inferior, that they couldn’t handle the pressure of the game and that even at his age he could beat any female player.
On this day in 2012, 16 members of a dissident Amish group in Ohio are convicted of federal hate crimes and conspiracy for forcibly cutting the beards and hair of fellow Amish with whom they had religious differences. The government classified the ruthless attacks as hate crimes.

Hey Dodge Ball fans, you’re invited to play in the 15th annual Ephrata Dodge Ball Tournament on Friday and Saturday, November 9th & 10th at the Ephrata High School. Proceeds from this event will help fight Juvenile Diabetes.
You can download information, and a registration form at www.dodgeballfordiabetes.com, you can find a link to that website on ephratamounts.com, or see Mr. Geyer in homeroom 129 for registration information. Deadline for entry is October 24th, each team is responsible for raising at least $126 in donations per team, with a 3 game guarantee. Prizes will be awarded to teams for raising more money. So get your team donations in for this year’s Senior Circuit bracket.
