NEWS INTRO VIDEO
----------------------------
Oof, its been quite a while since we’ve done this and quite a few things have happened, so I’ll guess we’ll just do the crash course, so get ready. In international news, some rich people got married in the UK over the weekend or whatever. One of them is American (U-S-A, U-S-A). Hawaii is still literally on fire, like actually on fire for real. The President pulled out of the Iran Nuclear Deal, so it can only be expected that Iran’s about to get mad nuclear. Diplomacy with North Korea imploded because Kim Jong-un doesn’t like it when the US and South Korea do joint military exercises right on their border during peace negotiations. National Security Walrus John Bolton suggested the “Libyan model” as a potential American response to North Korean non-compliance with denuclearisation, which Jong-un responded poorly to after it was explained to him that the “Libyan Model” actually does not involve Muammar Gaddafi rocking some sleek Ralph Lauren on a fashion runway.
Today is the birthday of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, creator and author of the Sherlock Holmes. Doyle’s stories of Holmes and his partner Dr. Watson would prove to be successful, but also tiring for the author. In his story “The Final Problem”, Doyle killed off Sherlock Holmes (spoiler alert), only to have to bring him back again due to popular demand (spoiler alert again). Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was born in 1859 and died in 1930.
Now over to _________ with lunch
