Congratulations to the Mountaineer Computer Science students who competing in the 33rd annual High School Coding competition held last week at the Harrisburg HACC campus. Ephrata entered two teams who competed against a field of 20 opponents. Each team was given 7 problems to solve in a 2 hour and 15 minute time span. In that time they had to develop a plan, write the program and output the results. The questions were very challenging and the average number of correct answers across the 20 teams was 3.2 out of seven. Finishing 8th out of the 20 teams was the cohort of Josue Perez, Nathan Malmer, and Tobias Steely. Finishing 4th and earning a trophy was the team of Caleb McKinney, Colin Robson and Nick Hoopes. Congratulations!
