If you would like to modify your course requests, be sure to submit the necessary paperwork which can be found in your Schoology resource folder, or stop by the counseling office to pick up a change form. As a reminder, you can view your proposed courses for next year in your Community Portal Account. The listing is in the “File Cabinet” under the Reports area.

Again, all AP students who are taking an exam this year should report to the café at 7:40 for this required meeting.

On this day in history, we recognize both the birth and death of William Shakespeare. According to tradition, Shakespeare was born on this day in 1564 and died 52 years later. You’ve more than likely been exposed to Shakespeare’s plays once or twice, and regardless of your opinions on them, it’s impossible to argue against the influence they have made in modern literature.
Also, today is the birthday of the only Pennsylvania-born President, James Buchanan. Happy birthday to the both of you!

In sports results, baseball won 11-9 at McCaskey, boys lacrosse won 11-8 at Cedar Crest, tennis lost to Hempfield, girls lacrosse lost vs Cedar Crest, and softball won 20-10 at home vs McCaskey. Jadan Mays recorded the win and struck out 5 batters in 5 innings pitched.

The Ephrata Track & Field teams had a successful trip to the Shippensburg Invitational this past Saturday as they team came home with one school record and 5 personal records. Tyler Shue nailed down the 800 meter run school record by winning the race in a time of 1:55.17. Teammate Alex Morales also set a PR in the same race finishing 5th overall in 1:57.05. Elie Basenga did not set a PR, but he did win the High Jump at 6 feet 4 inches and Dawsen Miller placed 3rd in the pole vault with a school record tying vault of 13 feet 6 inches. The Boys 4 X 800 meter relay team also won at Shipp running a time of 8:02.42. On the girls team, Madison Martin ran a personal record in the 400 meter dash and finished 6th with a time of 60.39, Mary Campbell ran a PR and finished 6th in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:17.89 and the girls 4X100 meter relay ran a PR with a time of 51.59. Congratulations to all Track & Field athletes who competed at Shippensburg and best of luck as you take on Manheim Central today at the Middle School Track.
