Attention Juniors and Seniors:
Today is the NEXT TO THE LAST day to purchase your tickets for the 2018 Prom. Sales will begin promptly at 2:45 this afternoon in room 116. Here are some tips to help make this process easier for you:
(1) You must be present to purchase a ticket and if you have an EHS guest, they must also be present at the time you purchase the tickets.
(2) For your non-EHS prom date, you’ll need a copy of their photo I.D. and the completed guest information form.
(3) Clear your obligations so you are not disappointed
Oh, and don’t forget your money – it’s $60 per ticket—checks should be made payable to EASD with Class of 2019 in the memo line.

Barbara Bush, former first lady and matriarch of the Bush family died yesterday at age 92. In addition to being the first lady for the administration of George H. W. Bush, she was well known for her large amounts of work regarding literacy and reading, both in the United States and abroad.
Additionally, the explosion of an engine on a Southwest Airlines plane left one woman dead after her window burst and she was partially sucked out of the cabin. There were no other casualties. It was the first passenger death on an American commercial flight since 2009.
On this day in history, Paul Revere took his infamous midnight ride in 1775. Revere and a man named William Dawes were both told that if the British were coming, lanterns would be hung in the steeple of the Old North Church- one if they were coming by land, two if by sea. Revere and Dawes, when told the British were coming by sea, set out to warn John Hancock and Samuel Adams, waking up hundreds of minutemen along the way who were ready to fight back against the British at a moment’s notice.

Everyday perfectly good food is being wasted in the school Cafeteria, but there is a solution. One problem, is that people don’t know about the Share Center, (you know, the fridge in the café by the food lines). But Mrs. Burkey’s Culinary classes are working hard to solve this problem. But they need your help, if you know what can be shared try to use it more often and if you not sure ask around. Or help someone who hasn’t used it. It only takes a few seconds to keep your unwanted sharable items from ending up in a landfill. Stay tuned for more updates on the Share Center and look out for items that are shareable. Give it a try.
