I sit on my porch looking around
The wind and tree rustles are the loudest sounds
My breathing is low and so is my mood
Everything I see is grey hued
I zoned out as my hands grew colder
Time passed, I was a few minutes older
I heard a banging in the distance
it intruded my brain with persistence
It was a blur of a cold autumn day
I had nothing to say
Nothing to feel
I needed emotions to steal
To change my way of thinking
