Shaking as if the earth is crumbling beneath my feet.

Only except the earth is my mind and my feet are my entire body.

My hands cluster and feel the need to isolate

I feel the need to isolate

I feel myself cling to the arm of the couch because I have no where else to go

If I run the earth will fall and my feet will trip

Trip over the cracks within the earth

Only if the cracks were cemented in

Then I could run as far as I could

But im shaking on the arm of the chair and i can barely breathe

The air has clogged my throat and i am afraid to choke

The earth cannot hold on much longer

Water begins to fill the cracks and pour out

Until another planet comes along and blocks out everything

Blocks out the fact that earth is dying

This other planet lends a hand to help cement the cracks

Earth begins to heal and my feet are able to run again

But never run too far
