The heart of water,
it fills the world with its waves.
It does not think twice,
it just drenches the faces of everyone,
even the ungrateful.
It nourishes the hearts of even the most undeserving,
even the most icy, cold souls.
The tides never stop,
feeling high or low they just continue on,
showering the spirits with all its love.
Icy, cold,
they drink from the waves,
refreshed, relieved, but never giving thanks.
Icy, cold,
the hearts line up,
to drink from the fountain of unconditional love.
Icy, cold,
all they do is consume,
and with their bloated, swollen hearts, they chase after the wind!
Icy, cold,
the freezing wind fills the air,
and now its coldness is spread everywhere...
The heart of water is brought down to its knees,
frozen, drained, looking beat to any eye.
Its tides are low and it begs to the skies,
begs for something to bring it back to life.
As the last of its tides begin to freeze,
the heart of water accepts its fate - alone.
And on its last breath,
it needs to know,
if its waves ever touched any spirit, any soul.
But that remains a mystery,
as its eyes close,
masking the desire for an answer,
no other heart knows...
Just when the heart of water thought it was beat,
frozen by the icy, cold hearts in the world,
in sight was a heart of fire,
passionate, flaming,
whose help was never planned for,
but a gift sent from the universe,
sent on its own mission.
The heart of fire spread its arms,
and embraced the frozen heart without thinking twice.
A jolt of energy kick started the heart of ice,
as the heart of fire whispered,
"You taught me how to make my tides, so let me help you make yours again."
And just like that, the heart melted.
It melted, and melted,
and reformed its tides.
With a grasp of breath, it was brought back to life,
healthy, breathing, joyful as could be!
About to thank and ask for its savior,
the heart of water was interrupted by the flames rising higher,
"Please, release me! Let me out of this form!
Let me roam the earth free!
And I will spread what I learned from you!
No need to ask questions about who I am,
just continue to spread your love until we meet again!"
Without hesitation, the heart of water smothered the flames,
selfless, grateful,
not wanting to know why.
And as the freed air roamed the skies,
the heart of water opened its eyes.
And no longer were the hearts cold,
or the wind freezing;
but from miles away, all the heart of water could see,
were endless hearts of water,
with a new one forming every day.
