The knowledge of your fear's presence,
brings walls up around you which create resistance,
walls that block out those who care,
to break those walls - you wouldn't dare.
A child's cry is heard through the night,
yet the big city does not seem to fright,
for the trivial pleads for sweet dreams,
are only seen through the child's dull gleams,
a wall is around him,
surrounded by those who don't care,
to break those walls - no one would dare.
A homeless person is seen on the street,
tired, lonely, basking in the heat,
his body is covered by a torn cloak,
and all of his dreams just turn to smoke,
there are walls around him,
but nobody seems to care,
to break those walls - Oh! He wouldn't dare!
A lone wolf is caught in a fight,
to keep himself alive it takes all of his might,
he knows at any second his destiny can be heard,
and within seconds he will be floating alongside the birds,
there are walls around him,
but only his enemies care;
for only those who push his fate,
are the only ones who seem to dare.
