Easter celebrations have been around for a couple centuries even though you won't find them in any biblical writing pieces. My family and I personally believe Easter is the best holiday because of the fun activities you can do, the church services, and the pictures you can take with everything. Even though I've always been scared of the Easter Bunny, I love seeing my siblings reactions when they see him!
The Easter Bunny arrived in America in the late 1700's, although he first documentation about the bunny was in the 1500’s . German immigrants, settling In Pennsylvania, brought their traditions from their mother country, and these included the celebrated rabbit. The German Easter bunny is referred to as, "Osterhase, or "Oschter Haws ."
The traditions of just dying eggs dates back to the 13th century. Their use represents Jesus’s resurrection, and this tradition began in the United States.
Are children the only one who benefit on Easter? No! It’s also common for children to leave out baskets of goodies and treats for when the bunny comes hooping through the town.
Easter falls on April 1st this year, but don’t let this fool you (pun intended!) Easter always falls on a Sunday since the holiday 's founding is based on religious practices.
