Judy Garland was an admired young actress who starred in many projects as a kid; for example, “Meet Me in St Louis,” “A Star is Born,” and most famously, for her role as Dorothy Gale on the respected classic “The Wizard of Oz.”
“The Wizard of Oz” is such a beloved classic for its fantastical characters, visuals, and whimsical storyline. The story begins in a sepia-tone-Kansas and morphs into a multi-color wonderland after a twister strikes. Dorothy goes on a wild adventure to meet the “wizard” and meets a unique cast of characters along the way to her journey back to Home Sweet Home.
A while after the star’s golden age is when things started going downhill. Judy’s father died while she was at a very young age; The pressure of being a child star led her to a psychiatrist early in adulthood. The actress was frequently ill, which caused her beautiful singing voice - which was heard in her favored single, “Over the Rainbow,” to quickly falter.
Her love life was less than pleasant as she got remarried five separate times to different men: David Rose, Mark Herron, Sidney Luft, Vincente Minnelli, and Mickey Deans.
After years of negative outcomes And heartbreak Judy spiraled into a deep depression and eventually overdosed.
On the morning of June 22, 1969, Judy Garland was found dead in her home. There was speculation as to how she passed and an autopsy was scheduled, after thorough investigation police determined that Ms. Garland took her own life.
